Photo: Le Corbusier’s work revisited

A tutelary figure of architecture who no longer needs to be introduced, Le Corbusier saw his work immortalized in his time by the medium of photography. Even today, photographs from the time of the construction of some of these buildings are used to illustrate his achievements. The Museum für Gestaltung Zürich proposes to change our perception of them by inviting seven photographers to revisit as many buildings designed by the great master. The program for this new family portrait includes the villa “Le Lac,” the small house that Le Corbusier built for his parents on the shores of Lake Geneva, the villa Savoye in Poissy, the Unité d’habitation in Marseille, and the Cabanon in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.
