Having entered the world of painting quite by chance, Léa Augereau quickly established herself as an artist to watch. A stylist and pattern maker by training, she initially sought only to replace fashion illustration with painting for her portfolio, but she fell in love with the brush. And the public, too, with her paintings. Most of them depict women immersed in a vibrant and radiant palette. From them emanates a sense of empowerment, confidence, and boundless modernity. An approach definitively rooted in the 2021 era. So much so, that a canvas she is currently working on, entitled “Our Power,” highlights the difficulty of reconciling motherhood and womanhood.
She approaches these themes in a completely natural way, which has led her to collaborate with some prestigious brands. Most recently, Samsung commissioned her to reproduce one of her works on a refrigerator. It's precisely this kind of contract that motivates the young artist, who thrives on challenges. But for now, Léa is focusing on a new series that she hopes to present in 2022, and which we eagerly await.
