In the world of Josèfa Ntjam

Multimedia artist Josèfa Ntjam moves seamlessly between video, photomontage, sculpture, and sound performance. Responding to a practice of assemblage, each of his pieces seems to explore facets of the same celestial or aquatic universe. In Unknow Aquazone, sculpture and video converge and are enriched by photomontages. Familiar symbols emerge, drawing from natural history, cosmic imagination, and sub-Saharan myths and rituals. Afrofuturism is never far away, and the artist draws inspiration from it as a political concept and a practical exercise in cultural hybridization. The aim is to create possible elsewhere, beyond our realities, spaces of intersection and transition where new postcolonial narratives could emerge. Featured in the exhibition "Anticorps" Palais de TokyoParis 16th arrondissement. Every day except Tuesday, from 12 pm to midnight. Represented by Nicoletti Contemporary
