In the heart of the artistic district of the Belle Époque, the new Hôtel des Académies et des Arts stands opposite the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, reviving the workshop-houses where artists and their friends used to meet. Designed by the interior design firm Lizée Hugot, the hotel also houses Modigliani’s former studio. In the twenty rooms, whose windows open onto the roofs of Paris, there are works of art painted on the walls and ceilings drawn in pastels by Franck Lebraly. Enough to inspire the most poetic among us to book a private drawing lesson.
