The Chapel of Sound: acoustic experience

What is this mysterious prehistoric-looking rock balanced at the bottom of a valley in northern Pekin? The Chapel of Sound is a monolithic concert hall made from concrete and local rocks. The brainchild of Beijing architecture studio Open, the semi-outdoor amphitheater and open-air stage replicate the acoustic immersion of a cave, with sound echoing off the walls or fading into one of the rock-cut windows.
