The French designer didn’t wait for the frenzy around the Phocaean city to return to her hometown, Marseille. In addition to settling there in 2012, Margaux Keller has never stopped paying homage to her native Provence via her poetic creations. The proof is Margaux Keller Collections, launched in 2019, via which she promotes local craftsmanship through several series. Number 5, the latest, called “Pink Hour,” highlights “this suspended moment,” this “handful of elusive seconds” that is the sunset. On the program, the delicate “beloio” (jewel in Provencal) light fixture adorned with borosilicate glass spheres, the “souleo” (sun) mirror that suggests the interplay between sky and sea, and “mousco & cicala” (fly in Provencal and cicada in Italian) of delightful coat hooks reminiscent of the stars of the region’s printed fabrics.
