With its breath-taking view of Mont Blanc, the Alpaga, a charming hotel of the Beaumier group, located in the centre of Megève, has just reopened its doors after a complete renovation.
The Alpaga in Megève has just reopened its doors after a complete overhaul, with a promise of “tête à tête with Mont Blanc”. The renovation of this 22-room hotel and eight typically Megevan chalets was carried out by New York interior design firm Charles & Co, who drew inspiration from the outside environment as they created the décor for the rooms, lobby, bar and wellness area. The rooms now blend designer furniture, velvet accents and hints of wood. While artisans have created custom-made elements, the Charles & Co team has found unique pieces throughout Europe: vintage armchairs are combined with antique wooden tables and mohair and linen textiles, as an invitation to warm moments. Every area of the Alpaga exudes comfort: fireside, poolside, and in the two restaurants at the foot of the ski slopes – the Table and the Bistrot de l’Alpaga, managed by a chef with two Michelin stars, Anthony Bisquerra. Not to mention the hammam, the Swedish bath and the sauna, as well as a reinvented spa and, for the more adventurous, the refurbished gym. On Thursday and Saturday evenings, a jazzy atmosphere settles in the Alpaga bar, for an even softer atmosphere, conducive to the contemplation of nature.
