It was during fashion shoots that assistant stylist Lauren Perrin noticed that the demand for tights and gloves far outstripped supply. She quickly gathered her savings, turned to her friends to photograph her creations, and launched her namesake brand in 2020, positioning herself in this niche market. Originally from Bayonne, but now based in London, Lauren Perrin trained at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne and then moved overseas to become an assistant designer for three years. Without this experience, her brand would probably never have seen the light of day: she would never have known that designers were looking for these accessories, and would never have had the idea of entering this niche.
A real masterstroke: since then, her pieces have been dressing legs and forearms in a style mixed with seventies inspiration and optical art. Success was almost immediate, and her pieces brought a perfectly measured touch of eccentricity to the looks of fashion series in Dazed, Vanity Fair, Vogue USA and Italia, W Magazine, Elle and AnOther Magazine.
The ravishing Bella Hadid has also embraced the arty trend of these accessories which, in addition to their sophisticated aesthetic, boast green confection: the tights are made from recycled polyester, and their packaging is made from "recuperated" fabrics from a prestigious London house. A fine entry into the creative world for this young designer, who has no intention of stopping there and is already planning a ready-to-wear line for February 2022. Another great promise to keep an eye on.
