If Pierpaolo Piccioli poses proudly beside him for the photographers, it's because his name is one to remember. He caused a sensation at Fashion Trust Arabia in Doha last November and won the Debut Talent Award of the Year 2021. Abdel El Tayeb, a young Franco-Sudaneseshines in the workshops Bottega Veneta as in the collections of his label, El Tayeb Nation. Through this label, he restores African fashion to its former glory by giving it a new graphic dimension. He draws on Sudanese culture, transposing its codes into a couture version. Traditional clothing, military attire, reimagined tailoring: his creations are an ode to his origins and to a fashion that transcends its four undisputed capitals. A talent that should soon be making headlines, especially thanks to the €25,000 prize and mentorship that accompany the award Abdel El Tayeb has just won. Enough to dazzle us and continue to shine.
