Expose the photography contemporary art in the streets, for a diverse audience, to engage with the urban population, to remain visible to those who welcome artists and the public within their walls: this is the principle of La Nuu festival, which was held in the municipality of Rubi in Catalonia. This year, 2021, the festival opted for a sensitive selection. The chosen artists share a poetic melancholy of bodies, geographies, and their histories. This is felt in the documentary fictions of Arja Hyytiäinen and the Indian myths of Neus Solà. Intimacy is gently revealed in the faceless portraits of Trine Søndergaard, then concludes with childhood dreams, between José Ramón Bas's Icarus and Rosa Maria Florensa Palacios's adolescent evenings.
