Impossible is not fashion

We've dreamed of it. Since the crazy beginnings of collaborations, every fervent fan of the front rowandstiletto industry has once imagined a collection combining the best of two iconic houses. Fendace did just that at the last Milan Fashion Week. A first in the history of fashion. Kim Jones, who is used to inviting artists to his studios, this time teamed up with Donatella Versace, and together they gave life to an iconic fashion show. Far from being just another capsule collection, this was a fusion of the two Italian legends. An initiative undoubtedly spurred by the co-branding fever to which the houses of Gucci and Comme des Garçons have also lent themselves since 2018. The Japanese brand had invited Alessandro Michele that year, but also Burberry, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Stüssy, Maison Margiela, and so many others to revisit its timeless tote bag. Since then, the romance with Gucci has been confirmed, and this year again we see a new reinterpretation of this piece, on its way to becoming the It-bag of the season. Once again, fashion pushes the limits of its creation and proves to us that in this universe, everything becomes possible.

The Comme des Garçons x Gucci tote bag is available at Vault.com and Dover Street Market.
