Maison François : Distinguished House

Restaurateur François O’Neill runs Maison François, a chic, French-inspired brasserie in London’s Saint James district. The decoration was entrusted to the French-English designer John Whelan (Bouillon Julien in Paris), whose source of inspiration for this project was Ricardo Bofill’s La Fabrica in Barcelona. Maison Françoisis a true exercise in style that encompasses several architectural movements, such as post-modernism and brutalism, with a mixture of raw materials and elements that evoke the past.

In the kitchen, MasterChef finalist Matthew Ryle revisits classic French cuisine, such as his Dauphiné ravioli with comté cheese and black pepper and veal chop with hazelnut butter, sage and capers.

Refined cuisine in a place of raw elegance.
