In the heart of Brussels, in the Rue de Louvain, an unidentified architectural object called Tondo is looming in the air. Nestled between the façades of the House of Representatives and the Forum, this spatial element links the two buildings in a circular ring. Reminiscent of the round frames of the Florentine Renaissance, this mirrored footbridge takes its users on a generous walk to the other side. But more than a bridge, it is an escape that is worth the detour!
Designed by the duo Kersten Geers and David Van Severen, this architectural work has been selected for the Brussels Architecture Prize 2021.
