If the name of this New Zealand-born, Rotterdam-based designer doesn't ring a bell, it's high time you did! She's just been inducted into the design pantheon, the Vitra Design Museum, with her hit "Candy Cube." An enigmatic object, easily imbued with magical properties, this piece made of cast resin, almost translucent, glows ethereally around its edges. This phantasmagorical creation has charmed the fashion house Celine, as well as the musician Lorde, who even incorporated it into the stage design of her Melodrama World Tour in 2017. The piece has also given the designer significant exposure, leading to collaborations with OMA, Fendi, Aesop, Burberry, and IKEA.
