If the name of this New Zealand-born, Rotterdam-based designer doesn't ring a bell, it's high time you woke up! She has just entered the Vitra Design Museum, a design hall of fame, with her hit "Candy Cube". An enigmatic object with magical properties, this cast resin piece, bordering on translucent, has a fairy-tale glow around its edges. A phantasmagoria that has charmed Celine and musician Lorde, who incorporated it into her set design for her Melodrama World Tour in 2017. The piece also gave the designer the kind of visibility that subsequently led her to work for OMA, Fendi, Aesop, Burberry and even IKEA.
