This primer, which ranges from Aino Aalto to Sandrine Ebène de Zorzi, looks back at 200 great women of design. It includes iconic pioneers, as well as lesser-known personalities, such as Ray Eames, Eileen Gray, Florence Knoll, Ilse Crawford, Faye Toogood, and Nathalie Du Pasquier. The career of each artist is described in an enlightening text accompanied by a photograph of his or her flagship product, all divided into four sections, devoted to product design, furniture, textiles, and lighting. A necessary book that is owed to Jane Hall, author of ‘Breaking Ground: Architecture by Women,’ published by Phaidon in 2019.
