Heading for the Bon Marché

This autumn, let’s head for the Left Bank, and more precisely the Bon Marché. After a joyful exhibition this summer, focusing on mysticism and Mediterranean culture, the Parisian department store invites the young, committed designer Thebe Magugu, 26 years old and winner of the LVMH prize in 2019, for his new installation. Named “Porte-bonheurs,” this exhibition is part of a solidarity and inspirational approach, as it is dedicated to supporting the association Dessine l’Espoir, which, since 2003, has been helping vulnerable populations in southern Africa. Composed of 20,000 multicolored fabric flowers, assembled by hand in workshops in South Africa and Eswatini, this spectacular installation can be seen until 17 October. The best part? The flowers, but also a matching tote bag, are on sale and all proceeds are donated to the organization Drawing Hope.
