Gucci launches its first online fashion and film festival

After announcing that he would follow a pace far removed from the seasonal rhythm, Gucci Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, launched his new summer 2021 collection « Ouverture of Something That Never Ended » at Gucci Fest, a 100% digital festival combining fashion and cinema. The festival, which takes place online from November 16th to 22nd November, consists of a seven-part miniseries based on the collection and filmed in Rome. Directed by Alessandro Michele and filmmaker Gus Van Sant, the miniseries feature Italian artist Silvia Calderoni in a surrealist daily newspaper. Over the course of the episodes, we meet familiar faces of Gucci, such as Florence Welch. This Gucci Fest also honors some fifteen young independent creators, chosen by Alessandro Michele, including the talented and highly visible Charles de Vilmorin, whom we introduced in the September edition.
