Pascal Vilcollet – The multifaceted artist
On the one hand Pascal Vilcollet, who spent several years as an illustrator, naturally became a painter. He is known and recognized by his portraits of stars : John Lennon, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Marilyn Monroe, Steve McQueen and many others. His removed and colorful style is his trademark. He has eventually moved away from the portrait to explore other topics.
Lou Ros – An autodidact in search of representation in space
On the other side Lou Ros, the unconditional painter of portraits and bodies as subjects. His brushstroke is comparable to that of Bacon, Jenny Saville or Lucian Freud. After starting in graffiti, the artist turned to something more elaborate and constructed.
